Since photographing my first wedding in 1983, I have made documenting weddings my specialty. As an artist and photojournalist, I come to each wedding with an open mind, creative spirit, and intuitive eye ready to document all of its beauty, excitement and emotion in a sensitive, spontaneous and artistic manner. Being a wedding photojournalist allows me to combine my love of fine art, photojournalism, black and white photography and an affinity for people watching into a wonderful profession.

Photography has been a love of mine since I first picked up a camera. As with most artistic crafts, my skills as a photographer have grown from a foundation of formal training teamed with of years of practical experience. I have a BA from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and am currently working toward my Masters in Liberal Studies. I also have years of work experience as a news photojournalist, commercial studio photographer and custom lab technician.

Over the years I have been commissioned to photograph over 500 weddings and have also photographed many other social and corporate functions with such political and business leaders as President Bill Clinton, General Electric CEO Jeff Imelt, Wisconsin Senator Herb Kohl, radio personality Don Imus and ABC's Cokie Roberts. I keep up to date with the latest in wedding and photographic trends by reading trade magazines, attending seminars and through my professional association with such groups as the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, the Wedding Artisans Network and the Association of Bridal Consultants.

I am dedicated to bringing the beauty and benefits of fine art wedding photojournalism to engaged couples.
